Warley War Memorial

We hold a short service around the village lantern each Remembrance Sunday. Many of you have asked about having our own memorial stone. We made enquiries and received several quotes. In addition, we spoke to  Calderdale Bereavement Service management. Having visited the site, they have agreed to supply and fix to our specification, a lettered memorial stone at no cost to us. We expect the memorial stone to be placed during May.

The memorial stone will read as follows.

LEST WE FORGET

THE GALLANT PEOPLE OF

WARLEY

WHO SACRIFICED THEIR LIVES

FOR THEIR COUNTRY

IN CONFLICTS AROUND THE WORLD

WE WILL REMEMBER THEM
