Village Christmas Tree to be even more Festive this Year!

For as long as anyone can remember, the traditional Christmas Tree on the site of the 19th Century village maypole has lit up our lives at this time of year and this year’s tree is bigger and better than ever before.

In previous years, the Council have limited the lighting of the tree to the hours of darkness and many people have commented on how much more festive the village would be if the lights were on all the time.

The Council have now informed us that they have changed the policy this year and all their trees throughout Calderdale will be lit up ’24/7′ throughout the festive period.

If you need more information on this decision, please ring the Community Association Chairman on 01422 839458
