Local Plan for Calderdale

We have commented in the past on the development of the Council’s ‘Local Plan’.  This has now reached the second stage in its development, namely Land Allocations and Designations. When completed, this will be a document that identifies sites for both development and protection across Calderdale.  If you have concerns about the possibility of planning regulations being relaxed (or indeed tightened) in your area  then we would urge you to use this opportunity to have your say.

Much more information can be found on the Calderdale Council website – Local Plan and there are a series of public information/consultation sessions over the next few months across Calderdale.  We are advised that the most relevant sessions for Warley residents are either on Wednesday 26th February 7.00pm-9.00pm at Heath Training Centre, Free School Lane (Halifax South) or Tuesday 18th March 7.00pm-9.00pm at Threeways, Nursery Lane, Ovenden (Halifax North).
